David Bascome's Baltimore Blast emerged victorious from a pulsating encounter against Utica City FC at the Adirondack Bank Center, securing a 6-5 win in a match that saw the lead change hands multiple times. This thrilling victory marks the Blast's fourth win in their last five outings, solidifying their position in the Eastern Conference standings.

The match was a rollercoaster ride from the outset, with both teams showcasing their attacking prowess. Baltimore drew first blood in the opening period through Oumar Sylla, but former Blast player Vinicius Dantas quickly levelled the score for Utica.

The Blast regained the lead in the second period thanks to a strike from Juan Pereira, taking a 2-1 advantage into the halftime break.

The see-saw battle continued in the third period, with Utica's Sergio Pinal equalizing before Victor Parreiras restored Baltimore's lead.

The final period witnessed a flurry of goals and dramatic momentum swings. Pinal levelled the score once again for Utica, but the Blast responded with goals from Jairo Guevara and Wellington Bramusse to seemingly take control of the match. However, Utica staged a late comeback, with Emmanuel Belliard and Pinal, with a sixth attacker on the field, scoring in quick succession to tie the game at 5-5 with just over two minutes remaining.

With the tension reaching fever pitch, it was the Blast who delivered the decisive blow. Chad Poarch found the back of the net with just over a minute to play, securing a dramatic victory for Baltimore.

This thrilling encounter showcased the exciting and unpredictable nature of indoor soccer. The Blast's resilience and ability to respond to Utica's challenges ultimately proved decisive, earning them a valuable three points on the road.

Bascome's men will now look to build on this momentum as they continue their campaign, with their sights set on a strong finish to the season.
