Outerbridge and Dailey Dominate Friends of Sandys 5K

Ryan Outerbridge and Christine Dailey showcased their running prowess, claiming victories in the Men's and Women's Divisions of the Friends of Sandys 5K run in the West End.
Outerbridge, fresh off his impressive performance representing Franklin Pierce University at the NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country Championships in November, continued his winning ways. He blazed through the 5K course with a blistering time of 15:38, leaving the rest of the field in his dust.
"It felt good to be back racing in Bermuda," Outerbridge said after his victory. "The conditions were challenging, but the support from the community was amazing. I'm happy with my performance."
Jake Smith finished a strong second with a time of 16:00, while Sean Trott rounded out the men's podium in third place at 16:05.
In the Women's race, Dailey showcased her experience and endurance. She crossed the finish line seventh overall with a time of 17:50, securing a comfortable victory in the Women's Division.
Stepanka Sprincova finished as the second female and ninth overall with a time of 19:01. Mae Tirfe claimed the third spot on the women's podium, finishing 14th overall with a time of 21:38.
The Friends of Sandys 5K proved to be a successful event, with strong performances from both elite runners and community participants.
