Arman Newton (L) IslandStats.com Arman Newton and Sarah Dwyer emerged as Champions at the Bermuda Golf Association's Thanksgiving Challenge, held at the scenic Turtle Hill Golf Course. The challenging 36-hole Individual Stroke Play Tournament, contested over a single day, tested the skills and endurance of Bermuda's amateur golfers.
Newton secured the Men's Gross title with a remarkable display of consistency, carding back-to-back rounds of 56 to finish at 4-over par. Johnny Bart claimed second place with rounds of 61 and 60, finishing at 13-over par. Matthew Durrant secured third place with a 15-over par total, following rounds of 62 and 61.
In the Ladies' division, Dwyer captured the Gross title with rounds of 69 and 72, finishing at 33-over par. Rebecca Solayao finished as the runner-up, carding a 52-over par total.
The Juniors' Stableford Division saw Lewis MacFarlane emerge victorious with an impressive score of 122, compiled from rounds of 56 and 66. Charlie Smith secured second place with 118 points, while Isaac Davis finished third with a score of 107.
The Thanksgiving Challenge provided a competitive and exciting platform for Bermuda's golfers to showcase their abilities.
