The heat is on at the Annie's Revenge Golf Tournament which got underway at the Cinnamon Hill Golf Course, in Jamaica, where three Bermudian teams are battling it out for island bragging rights amidst a fierce international field.
Leading the charge after a scorching first round is Ocean View, spearheaded by the dynamic father-son duo of Quinton Sherlock Jr. and Sr. Joined by the steady hands of Franklyn Morgan and Ann Symonds, they stormed out of the gate with a sizzling 10-under par performance. Their scorecard was a masterpiece of precision, boasting a dozen birdies against a mere two bogeys.
Hot on their heels are the Belmont Hills crew, featuring Darriek Douglas, Dennis Douglas, Colin Swan, and Donovan Livingston. This squad unleashed an eagle-powered assault on the course, racking up three of those majestic shots alongside 12 birdies. However, a few errant swings resulted in nine bogeys, leaving them at a respectable 9-under par and currently holding 8th place.
Bringing up the rear, but certainly not out of the fight, is the Five Fords team. Arriek Douglas, Cleveland Smith, Jeffrey Tyrrell, and Kevin Swan are looking to shake off a first-round stumble that saw them finish 1-over par and tied for 16th. But with two rounds still to play, there's plenty of time for a dramatic comeback.
This thrilling tournament is far from over. Stay tuned as these Bermudian golfers navigate the challenges of Cinnamon Hill, each team vying for glory and the right to claim victory in this Caribbean showdown.
