BNA Senior League Round-Up
After what some have called an intentional media blackout last week due to a certain team not playing, this week Netball will roar back into the spotlight with a vengeance, as the Tigers delivered a 59-8 drubbing of the Dockies in the Bermuda Netball Association Senior League. The Bernard's Park court witnessed a scoring spectacle as the Tigers showcased their attacking prowess.
Leading the charge for the Tigers were the dynamic duo of JahKenya Trott and her twin sister JahTuere Trott. The talented siblings were unstoppable, each netting an impressive 24 goals. Nahjae Raynor added to the offensive onslaught with 11 goals of her own. Khianda Pearman-Watson was a rock in defense, earning the Best Defender accolade, while Sideya Dill orchestrated the attack with precision, earning MVP honors.
Despite the lopsided scoreline, the Dockies showed flashes of brilliance. Olivia Bugg led her team's scoring efforts with 5 goals, while Best Attacker Meghan Sherwin added 3 goals. Jana Phillips was a standout defender, and Ruth-Ellen Pintilie was named MVP for her tireless efforts.
The Tigers' dominant performance sends a clear message to their rivals: they are a force to be reckoned with. With their potent attack and stifling defense, they are poised to make a strong run for the championship title.
