The 2024 MAAC NoFrills Road Race saw Trey Simons and Teresa Ruiz crowned champions of the 10K event, while Philip Woollins and Sarah Ryan secured victory in the 5K race.
The event, held in the East End, attracted a strong field of runners competing across both distances.
10K Distance
Simons delivered a dominant performance in the 10K, crossing the finish line with a time of 33:31. Matthew Twilley secured second place in 38:28, followed by John Carreiro in third with a time of 40:10.
Ruiz claimed the women's 10K title, finishing as the 10th overall runner with a time of 42:41. Marielle Beaulieu was the second female finisher, placing 12th overall in 44:43. Laurie Orchard completed the women's podium, finishing 13th overall with a time of 45:05.
5K Distance
Woollins led the 5K race from start to finish, securing victory with a time of 18:11. Juma Mouchette finished second in 19:01, closely followed by David Lunn in third with a time of 19:03.
Ryan claimed the women's 5K title, finishing 9th overall with a time of 22:23. Vivian Curtis secured second place among the women, finishing 11th overall in 24:02. Jill Brewer completed the women's podium, placing 15th overall with a time of 25:54.
