Ollie Hayward and Erica Hawley have been crowned the 2024 Cambridge Beaches Bermuda Sprint Triathlon Male and Female Champions.
Hayward secured his victory with a commanding performance, finishing with a time of 58:04. He was the second out of the water, clocking 8:50, followed by a strong 28:45 on the bike course, and completed the run in 18:45.
Olympian Hawley was the second overall finisher, completing the event in 1:00:19. She led the field out of the water with a time of 8:49, followed by a 31:01 bike segment, and finished the run in 18:35.
Jake Smith was the second male to finish, and third overall, with a time of 1:04:27. Kevin Ronaldson completed the male podium, finishing fourth overall at 1:04:55.
Maddie Durkin was the second female finisher and fifth overall, crossing the line in 1:05:01. Lynsey Palmer was the third female finisher, and eleventh overall, with a time of 1:08:24.
In the Adult Try-A-Try, Neil MacGuinness emerged victorious, clocking 40:45. Geoffrey Meyers finished second in 46:18, and Paul Tohill came in third at 46:25. Abby Brewer was the first female and fifth overall with a time of 48:06. Laura Williamson was the second female and ninth overall, finishing in 54:28, with Melissa Wylie close behind, also clocking 54:28.
