Glentoran Football Club in Northern Ireland announced the signing of Bermudian international Djair Parfitt from Greek second tier side Makedonikos.
Parfitt has officially changed his name to Djair Terraii Parfitt.
Twenty-seven year old Parfitt is a Bermudian wide forward who started his career with the Academy at West Ham United. He spent 6 years at Hammers and has subsequently played for clubs in Slovenia, Iceland, Finland and most recently Greece. He has 11 senior caps for the Bermuda senior international team and has scored twice for his country.
Glentoran Head Coach Declan Devine said to www.glentoran.com: “I’ve made it clear recently that there were a couple of positions we needed to strengthen if we could get the right caliber of player. Parfitt fits the bill on both counts. He’s a right footed left winger who cuts in from the left. He is very capable of both creating and taking scoring chances and he will give the forward line a greater balance. He’s the sort of lad who will fit in well with the rest of the squad and I think he’ll prove popular with our supporters.”
