The Bermuda Golf Association was accepted into the Caribbean Golf Association recently as an associate member. Their first participation as an associate member will be at the Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships being held in Kingston, Jamaica from July 1st – 6th, 2024. The BGA is sending three promising juniors to participate in this very prestigious tournament.
Dylan Muso, will compete in the Under 18 Division, Arman Newton will compete in the Under 15 Division, and Lewis MacFarlane will be one of the younger competitors at age 11 and will be up against players in the Under 13 Division. All three of these golfers had impressive results at the Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play Championships held last week at the Port Royal Golf Course.
The team will be accompanied by the BGA’s General Secretary, Darrin Lewis. who states “This will be a magnificent opportunity for the boys to gauge where they are in their age groups in our region. This is Bermuda’s first representation as part of being accepted as an associate member of the Caribbean Golf Association and the boys are excited and raring to go!”
The tournament will be played at the Cayaman’s Golf & Country Club, Caymanas Estates, Jamaica. The team will participate in a practice round on Tuesday, July 2nd tournament play on Wednesday, July 3rd, Thursday, July 4th, and the final round on Friday, July 6th.
