The stage was set for the highly anticipated THE JOHN SHIPPEN Women’s Invitational, as the tournament organizer saw an elite 12-player field of top professional and amateur Black female golfers including Ebonie Cox begin to compete in the fourth annual event at the Blythefield Country Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
After the First Round, Cox sits 11th after shooting 4-over par 76, she is 7 strokes off the leader Georgia Oboh from England who shot a Round of 3-under par 69. Cox carded 2 Birdies, 10 Pars, and 6 Bogey’s.
