Spanish Point Boat Club One picked up a shocking title win edging Sandys Boat Club 3 – 2.
Todd Dziak opened the scoring for Spanish Point Boat Club One, defeating Richie Beale 46-17.
Chris Dakin, made it 2 for Spanish Point Boat Club One, when he defeated Peter Bromby 53-18.
Paul Fedden got Sandys Boat Club on the scoreboard in the 3rd game, defeating Stewart Greenslade 54-22.
Martin Siese equalized for Sandys Boat Club, defeating Alan Smith on the final black, 47-39.
It was Spanish Point Boat Club One who sealed a famous victory however, when Alan Smith overcame Paul Fedden 54-32 in the tie-breaker to clinch the title.
Tony DeSilva Memorial Cup Semi-Final
Steven Bremar defeated Scott Barnes 3 - 2 at the Warwick Workmen’s Club in the Tony DeSilva Memorial Cup Semi-Final.
Bremar won the first game 66-25, but Barnes would make it 1 – 1 when he won the second game 62-55, Bremar would go ahead 2 – 1 when he won the third game 50-30, but once again Barnes leveled the match this time at 2 – 2 when he won the fourth game 70-38, but Bremar would advance winning the fifth and final game 85-58.
Bremar now faces John Orr in the Final.
Bermuda Open Singles 2nd Round
Kyle Williams defeated Zane DeSilva 2-1 at RAA Club 65-42, 35-55, 56-31, while Aaron Bean defeated Winslow Smith 2-1 at Watford Sports Club 60-23, 42-44, 55-30
Bermuda Open Singles Quarter-Final’s
Toby Wright defeated Kyle Williams 2-0 at the Spanish Point Boat Club, 54-35, 55-47, Wright now faces the winner of Paul Fedden and Steven Bremar in the Semi-Final.
Matt Garrod defeated Todd Dziak 2-1 also at the Spanish Point Boat Club, 46-55, 46-40, 70-14. Garrod now faces the winner of Stewart Greenslade and Aaron Bean in the Semi Final.
