Updated with Pictures - CedarBridge Academy defeated The Berkeley Institute Gold 16 - 9 to win the Bermuda School Sports Federations 2023 Senior School Netball Tournament at Bernard Park.
Both teams exchanged goals early in the match with CedarBridge taking a slim 8 - 7 lead into the halftime break. The Devonshire school pulled away early in the second half and Berkeley couldnt find the rhythm to get back in the match.
Rihanna Reddicks led CedarBridge Academy with 12 goals, Sydney Santos added 3 with Jamir Hatherley added the final goal. Berkeley was led by Makayle Smith with 5 goals and Jaelun Rewan-Lambert with 4 goals.
It was a battle of Berkeley teams in the Semi-Finals with the Gold team overcoming the Green team 13 - 8. Rewan-Lambert led the Gold team with 6 six goals. Smith and Anisa Seon scored 4 and 3 respectively for the winners. The Green team got 5 goals from Kammie Smith and 4 from Sioma Rudo.
CedarBridge overcame Somersfield Academy 21 - 4 in the other Semi-Final. It was a one-woman show for CedarBridge with Reddicks scoring all 21 goals for the eventual Champions. All four Somersfield Academy goals came from Kennedy Kawalski.
