The Snooker Season came to an end with the playing of the Tony DeSilva Memorial Cup & the Bermuda Open Singles Finals.
Peter Bromby defeated Steven Bremar 4 – 3 to claim the Tony DeSilva Memorial Cup.
Bromby stormed into an early lead when he took the 1st game 64-16, Bremar leveled the scores at 1-1 when he took the next game on the black ball, 60-53.
Bromby regained the lead in the next game with a score of 43-33, Bremar once again restored parity when he took the 4th game, 51-32.
Bremar also then took the 5th game, 59-49 to lead 3-2, but it was Bromby however who prevailed when he took the final 2 games, 78-27 & 58-46 respectively to claim his 1st DeSilva Cup victory at 4-3.
Bremar defeated Todd Dziak 4-1 to win the Bermuda Open Singles Final.
Bremar opened the scoring, taking the 1st 2 games, 51-40 & 60-27 respectively to lead 2 – 0, Dziak bounced back in the 3rd however, taking it 75-15.
Bremar then increased his lead to 3-1, taking the 4th game 72-23, needing just one more frame for victory, it was Bremar who prevailed, clinching the match when he took the 5th game 79-21.
