Sandys Boat Club edged Watford Sports Club 3 - 2 to take the Bermuda Snooker League title in one of the closest finishes in recent memory!
Watford Captain, Aaron Bean had a dream start when he defeated Sandy's Peter Bromby 65-10 in the 1st of 2 games, the misery continued for Bromby and Sandys Boat Club when Bean sunk the black ball to make it 2 in the 2nd game, taking it 51-42.
The 3rd game, however, saw Sandy's Paul Fedden stop the rot in a 63-15 win over Watford's Winslow Smith to make it 2-1
The doubles were played next and saw Sandy's duo Martin Siese and Fedden level the match at 2 - 2 when they defeated Watford's Kidd Mouchette and Keino Zuill 64-10.
With the match in the balance, there was drama in the deciding game, when Sandy's Captain, Siese took on Zuill for the title. At the pink, Zuill needed one snooker, the pink and the black to tie - Siese went in-off the pink, making the tie possible.
Zuill then potted the pink and the black to force the repost black ball for the title.
After several attempts by both players to sink the black, it was finally Siese who was triumphant for Sandys Boat Club, claiming their 3rd consecutive league title win.
