Taylor Carrick and his Western University Men’s Squash teammates got off to strong starts as they look to defend their title at the OUA Squash Championships.
In the Men’s Division, Western’s quest for a 39th consecutive OUA title started with two convincing wins.
In their opening match, Carrick and Western defeated Queens University 7 – 0. Carrick playing in the number four spot defeated Yohan Poncha 3 – 0 in 17 minutes 11-5, 11-4, 11-3.
Western then defeated Guelph University 7 – 0 in their second match, Carrick would once again play in the fourth spot, he defeated Mohammed Salemwalla 3 – 0, 11-5, 11-2, 11-5.
