Taylor Carrick and his No. 13 Western Ontario Men’s Squash teammates defeated the No. 17 Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) squash team by a score of 8 - 1 on the second day of the Navy Round Robin Tournament.
Carrick playing I the number 4 Singles spot would need five sets and 51 minutes to edge Collin Wen 3 – 2.
Carrick won the first game 11-8, before Wen leveled the match at 1 – 1 winning 11-6.
Carrick would go back in front after winning the third game 11-9, but Wen once again would level the match when he won the fourth game 11-5.
In the fifth and final game, Carrick was able to pull off the win 11 – 9.
