Warwick Workman’s Club Two team took on defending champions Sandy's Boat Club One team in the final of the Island Construction Cup held at Warwick Workman’s Club.
Richie Beale opened the scoring for Sandy's when he defeated Warwick's Mike Zimmerman, closing him out on the colors to pick up the win 62-44.
Sandy's Martin Siese built on that lead next when he defeated Warwick's Ray DeSilva 64-26.
The 3rd game however saw Zane DeSilva pull one back for Warwick, defeating Sandy's Peter Bromby by 51-38.
Steven Bremar drew Warwick level in the make as he saw off Sandy's Paul Fedden to make it 2-2 in a convincing 50-16 win, Fedden never really being in the game.
The tie breaker saw a rematch for Sandy's Richie Beale and Warwick's Mike Zimmerman. In what was the longest game of the match, Beale clinched the win for Sandy's when he saw Zimmerman off by 64-28 to retain the title for Sandy's.
