A two race day was held off the Spanish Point Boat Club as the Bermuda Power Boat Association’s season resumed for the second race day of the 2019 season.
The first race of the day was the first of three races in the BPBA National Championship Series, while the second race was Spanish Point National Championship Race.
A fleet of nine entries in A Class, B Class, D Class and S Class boats went to the start line for the first race on the choppy waters of the Great Sound.
David Selley and Matthew Smith won the A Class in the BPBA National Championship Series, Quince Dowling and Tai Bean won the B Class, Shawn Butterfield and Jermal Woolridge took the checkered flag in the D Class and Henry Talbot and Andrew Cottingham won the S Class race.
Selley and Smith won the A Class during the Spanish Point National Championship Race, Craig Nesbitt Sr and Craig Nesbitt Jr won the B Class, while the D Class was won by Butterfield and Woolridge, with the S Class race won by Talbot and Cottingham.
