Kim McCallan competed in the 2019 Thunder on Cocoa Beach Off Shore Power Boat Race.
McCallan said, “This race I was crew as was first race of the season.”
McCallan was in the #13 North Myrtle Beach RV - Nobody's Business – in the PROSTOCK V Class, they were declared 6th out of the 10 starting boats, they would run out of fuel just before the finish line therefore a DNF and was towed back to the wet pit area.
Nobody’s Business Racing earlier this year announced the addition of our new teammate McCallan.
McCallan has been a lifetime boater as well as a fellow offshore racer and APBA Offshore Racing Official.
McCallan grew up on boats and was part of a pit crew for racing at the age of 16. Once out of high school, she obtained her navigation and pilot’s license. Five years ago McCallan got involved with The Bermuda Powerboat Association and served in the capacities of Commodore and Vice Commodore.
Her love for the ocean and speed put her in a powerboat racing driving and as co-pilot. McCallan is a new face for APBA/OPA with the credentials of Inspector, Official Referee and as a Racer. Her background is in Forensics and Criminology so she knows the rules of racing.
