The team portion of the 2019 Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Individual Squash Tournament got underway in Trinidad with Bermuda Boys and Girls teams taking to the courts.
The Boys ended the day with a 1 & 1 record, the Boys defeated Trinidad & Tobago 3 – 2, winning games for Bermuda saw Anaya Smith defeat Michael Chin Lee 11-6, 11-7, 11-6, Taylor Carrick defeated Kobie Khan 11-3, 11-2, 11-5 and Charlie Riker defeated Joshua Poon 11-4, 11-5, 11-8.
The Bermuda Boy’s would later fall 4 – 1 to Guyana, Carrick would be the only Bermuda winner in the match as he defeated Daniel Islam 10-12, 11-0, 11-3, 11-4.
The Bermuda Girls defeated Trinidad & Tobago 3 – 0 in their lone match on Day One, picking up the first win for Bermuda was Taliah Wade who defeated Mya Francois 10-12, 11-6, 11-7, 11-6. Ariana Lowther defeated Aimee De Verteuil 2-11, 11-4, 3-11, 11-9, 11-4 and Abigail Brewer defeated Chloe Walcott 5-11, 11-7, 11-4, 12-10.
