The 2019 Junior CASA Individual is underway in Trinidad with Bermuda players taking to the courts.
On the Opening Day Bermuda players picked up wins in several Division.
During the Boy’s Under 11 Division play Owen Roserea defeated his opponent from Guyana Grant Fernandes in four games 9-11, 11-3, 11-7, 11-8.
In the Girls Singles Under 13 Division Taliah Wade went down to Elle Wilson from Jamaica in a five game battle 11-8, 9-11, 7-11, 11-5, 11-3.
In the Boy’s Singles Under 13 Division, Ethan Roserea defeated his British Virgin Islands opponent Daniel Henderson in straight games 11-3, 11-2, 11-5. Andrew Cox went down 11-3, 11-9, 11-9 to Nicholas Le Quay from Trinidad and Tobago. Andrew Cox defeated his opponent from Barbados Luke Wilson 11-7, 11-6, 11-2.
In the Boy’s Singles Under 17 Division, Charlie Riker defeated his opponent from the British Virgin Islands Luca Reich in straight games 11-8, 11-3, 11-0, while Matthew Elliott defeated his opponent from Trinidad and Tobago Joshua Poon in straight games 11-8, 11-7, 11-9.
During the Girls Under 17 Division Abigail Brewer defeated Skye Buckley from Cayman Islands in straight games 11-2, 11-3, 11-3, Ariana Lowther went down in straight games to Chloe Walcott from Trinidad and Tobago in straight games 11-9, 11-7, 11-4.
Anaya Smith won his Boy’s Under 19 opening match defeating his opponent from Cayman Islands Nathan Maclean in straight games 11-7, 11-8, 11-3.
