Fifteen year old Taylor Carrick won the Consolation Round Final to finish 17th of the Boys Under 17 in the Polish Junior Squash Open.
Playing 6 matches in the Tournament, Carrick won 5 (17 of 22 games) only losing to the number 2 seed in an extremely close 5 game match in Round 2.
Carrick was a student at the Warwick Academy and is now attending Millfield School in England where he is on the first team for Squash.
Playing in the Main Draw First Round Carrick defeated Jakub Ostrowski from Poland in his opening game 11-3, 11-5, 11-5, Carrick would next take on the number two seed Mor Vinograd from Israel falling 14-12, 4-11, 10-12, 11-8, 11-8.
In the Consolation Round Carrick would defeat Kamil Pol from Poland 11-1, 11-2, 11-2, he would then face off against Marcin Sikorski also from Poland winning 11-8, 11-5, 11-5.
In the Consolation Round Semi-Final Carrick would face Boaz Hirsch from the USA winning 11-7, 11-4, 11-7 and then in the final Carrick would take the title in a five game thriller defeating Asaf Gaitelband from Israel 10-12, 11-6, 8-11, 11-6, 11-7.
