Ajani Burchall and his Bournemouth Under 18 teammates took on Newport County in their Youth Alliance League battle at the Canford Arena, going down 6 – 2.
Fifteen minutes into the match Newport County took the lead, Ryan Hillier struck home at the near post.
In the 25th minute, Burchall showed good skill in the box, laid off a pass for Marcus Daws who got a shot off and it deflected home to level the score at 1 – 1.
Four minutes later Newport went in front again with another move finished by Hillier after being played in from the right.
Newport increased their lead in the 35th minute following a handball in the box and Hillier completed his hat-trick from the spot.
On the stroke of halftime Jake Adams scored from the penalty spot after Channell was shoved from a corner, but straight from kick-off and Lewys Twamley scored an away fourth of an eventful first half.
Newport would increase their lead to 5 – 2 in the 56th minute as a pinpoint-through ball broke the defensive line and Ethan Morgan finished clinically.
In the 85th minute, Newport would get their sixth as Twamley ran onto a loose pass, Bournemouth goalkeeper Billy Terrell saved well from the first shot but Twamley slotted home the rebound.
