Now that the Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) has announced Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will not be played in the FIFA match windows of October or November 2020, www.islandstats.com now turns our attention to the 2020 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championships.
The Championships were scheduled to take place in Mexico back in April & May, at the Mexican Football Federation Headquarters, in Toluca, Mexico.
Back on March 19th CONCACAF announced the postponement of the competition that saw Bermuda drawn in Group E alongside Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, and Nicaragua.
The 16 teams were scheduled to participate in the group stage, they had been divided in four groups of four teams.
Group E: Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda and Nicaragua Group F: Canada, Jamaica, Panama and Dominican Republic Group G: United States, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Cuba Group H: Haiti, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and Grenada
An announcement should be forthcoming from CONCACAF in the very near future.
