Jaaziah Van-Lowe and his teammates picked up a big win in their last outing, following the match Van-Lowe reflected on the upcoming season.
Van-Lowe said, “Moving to the UK has given me a world of opportunities. Last season I played for West Ham as a goalkeeper in their Performance Academy and was the teams Awarded Most Improved Player, I also played as a striker for Hullbridge and finished the season with over 15 goals.
This season, I moved up to the Under 13's, I will continue playing in goal for West Ham Performance Academy, but I will no longer play for Hullbridge.
I was awarded a position as a goalkeeper with Bowers and Pitsea who play in the EGA League which is very competitive.
I smile as I continue to make a name for myself and represent my country with pride. A spectator said to me, "Are you the Bermudian goalkeeper I've heard so much about". I replied, "Yes Sir". He informed me that he was trying to get me to a trial and possibly sign for his team but was unsuccessful. He congratulated me and wished me all the best in the future.
When I step out on the field and put on my gloves, I carry my family... Coaches and teachers who have helped me along the way, my school friend, and my country. I work hard daily to master my craft.”
