CONCACAF are continuing to monitor closely the public health situation and the organizations thoughts are with everyone affected by COVID-19. The health and wellbeing of all individuals participating in CONCACAF competitions is the organizations first priority and that is why they last week made the decision to suspend a number of our upcoming competitions and matches. Following further consultation with key stakeholders, CONCACAF have made the decision to suspend two additional CONCACAF National Team Tournaments:
One of the Tournaments suspended involved Bermuda, the 2020 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championships, originally scheduled for April 18th to May 3rd in Toluca, Mexico.
Bermuda are in Group E, alongside the host Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago and Nicaragua.
The competition requires significant international travel for a number of Member Associations and their teams and CONCACAF have made this decision with their welfare in mind.
