For its sixth shutout of the 2019 season, Teyah Lindo and her University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) Women's Soccer teammates claimed a 3-0 road win at Webber International as Lindo collected her first multi-goal game in a Sand Shark uniform.
In the 16th minute, Lindo netted the go-ahead goal for USCB. Following a corner, Newman connected a pass to Lindo, who then drove her shot into the corner of the net to take the 1-0 lead.
For the next eight minutes, USCB continued to pepper the Webber net, as they took six shots with three on frame.
In the 41st minute, USCB had a chance to double its lead when Eva Hormazabal took a free kick from outside of the Webber 18-yard box. She drilled the shot with her right foot, but the attempt was saved.
Five minutes into the second half, USCB eventually doubled their lead when Lindo posted her first multi-goal game of the year. Gherardi connected with a through pass to Lindo on the right side of the field. After gaining possession, Lindo saw the Warrior goalkeeper out of position. She lofted her shot over the goalkeeper's head and into the WIU net.
