The Berkeley Institute collected its second piece of silver ware in two days after winning the Bermuda School Sports Federations Under 16 Boys Senior School Six-a-Side Tournament.
Berkeley Gold overcame Warwick Academy 3-1 in the final, Ande Simons put the champions ahead in the first half, while Niyan Outerbridge doubled the lead just before halftime.
Warwick Academy cut the lead in half through Kwame Naylor early in the second half, but Camaje Easton Smith settled the match in Berkeley’s favor slipping past the advancing keeper after a dazzling solo run.
Both finalists had tough encounters in the Semi-Finals with Berkeley Institute overcoming CedarBridge Academy Blue 4-3 on Kicks from the Penalty Mark after the match ended 1-1. Kynde Mallory was on target for Berkeley while Nije Edwards scored for CedarBridge.
Harry Twite scored both goals for Warwick in their 2-1 win over Berkeley Green in the other Semi-Final, Kwame Clark Hinds scored the lone goal for Berkeley.
