Jada Samuels, Taznae Fubler and their Thomas College Women's Soccer teammates used a pair of goals on corner kicks to take down Unity College 2-0 in a non-conference game on Smith Field.
Thomas scored their first in the 22nd minute when a perfect corner kick by Fubler found the head of Kayla Sellars, who redirected it for the 1-0 lead.
Unity had a strong opportunity to score late in the second when a Unity forward broke past the Thomas backline up the left wing and had a clear run at the net.
Thomas keeper Lauren Bartlett timed her move perfectly, coming out of the goal and cutting the ball off before Unity was able to get a shot off.
Thomas College earned a late insurance goal in the 87th minute when another Fubler corner kick made its way to Katriana Pratt who settled the ball a fired a quick shot to give Thomas the 2-0 win.
Bartlett earned her first career win in the shutout for Thomas, making one save.
