Parfitt-Williams Scores in West Ham Draw

IslandStats.com
Djair Parfitt-Williams made a starting return to the West Ham United Premier League 2 Team line-up in their match against Northampton Town.

Parfitt-Williams was in the mix of things in the 6th minute when Tunji Akinola passed a lovely ball into Parfitt-Williams, who laid it off to Alfie Lewis. Lewis sprayed one wide for the onrushing Alex Pike but he just ran the ball out of play on the byline.

Three minutes later and more promising stuff from West Ham, Browne turned beautifully in the center of the park and spread the ball wide for Parfitt-Williams, his cross was cut out for a corner, but Browne's center was cleared.

The opening goal came in the 23rd minute for the hosts. A Northampton free-kick was only half cleared, and Harry Beautyman fired in low after being teed-up on the edge of the box.

West Ham dominated possession and Northampton were struggling to get to grips with their movement, however West Ham had no clear cut chances yet.

In the 40th minute West Ham United were level, Parfitt-Williams collected a clever Dan Kemp pass and smashed a shot past the keeper with a little help from the crossbar.

In the 60th minute West Ham replaced Parfitt-Williams, who got a warm reception from the home crowd, with Joe Powell.

Neither team would score again as West Ham and Northampton end in a 1 - 1 draw.
