Bermuda’s Female FIFA Assistant Referee Natasha Trott was back in action during the 2022 CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship in the Dominican Republic.
Trott was part of the officiating team in the match that El Salvador defeated the host nation the Dominican Republic 5 - 2 in San Cristobal.
The Central Americans got off to a dream start with an Isabella Recinos right-footed rocket in the 31st minute for a 1-0 lead. Two minutes later, Victoria Sanchez scored on a long-range effort of her own from outside the area to double the El Salvador lead to 2-0.
But that duo was topped by teammate Emely Reyes, who struck from 35 yards out to make it a 3-0 advantage to El Salvador.
The Dominican Republic showed plenty of fight, as Liliane Clase powered home a header in the 43rd minute to make it a 3 - 1 scoreline at the break.
The momentum stayed with the home side and suddenly it was 3-2 in the 58th minute when Ariana Diaz pounced on a loose ball in the box and fired in for the goal.
El Salvador kept their composure, though, and a second goal from Sanchez in the 70th minute via header and another goal from Reyes in the 87th minute from distance sealed the 5-2 win.
