www.islandstats.com can confirm that the ICC has granted Bermuda the request to start the tournament in Uganda later to allow the Bermuda players if selected to play in the 2020 edition of the Cup Match Classic.
According to the Bermuda Cricket Board President Lloyd Smith, “The ICC have granted our wish, with the Bermuda team leaving for Uganda on Saturday August 1st, and they will play their first match on Wednesday August 5th.”
“Four days after to tournament concludes in Uganda, the Bermuda team will compete in the ICC Americas Regional Tournament in Canada, this Tournament serves as a World Cup Qualifier,” continued Smith.
Smith concluded, the League Season is expected to begin at the end of April with the 50 over League starting the season, which will be followed by the Twenty20 competition to follow.”
