David Martinez Chavez from Mexico stunned the large Portuguese crowd at the Fairmont Southampton as he claimed the IBA International Welterweight Championship Title with a majority Decision win over Fabio Costa.
The pair stood toe-to-toe for most of the fight trading punches, Costa delivering some hard shots early, but Martinez stood tall and landed some big shots of his own.
In the end two judges gave him the win while another judge had it a draw.
Andre Lambe won his final Amateur final by a Split Decision over Bruno Nunes Couto from Portugal. Lambe said after the fight, he was unsure if he would be able to fight tonight after a scan revealed a Tumor, but a second scan reveal he was all clear and he rewarded himself and the fans with the win.
Ricardo Teixeira from Portugal defeated Jaylon Roberts from Bermuda, while Celestine Lima also from Portugal defeated Adrian Roach from Bermuda.
Lovintz Tota won his first fight on local soil as he defeated Hugo Santos Relvas from Portugal, while Kallan Simmons defeated Kaelin Cox in the opening fight of the night.
