Cheltenham Town are set to sign striker Jonte Smith on a deal until January.
The 25-year-old, who appeared for the Robins on trial during pre-season, has passed a medical and agreed personal terms.
He is a Bermuda international and was with League One Oxford United last term.
Smith has also previously appeared in the Football League for Crawley Town and boasts an impressive scoring record in non-league football with the likes of Metropolitan Police and Lewes.
Smith also played for Gloucester City, who were then lodging at Whaddon Road, in National League North during the 2015/16 campaign.
He was handed a chance to impress by Cheltenham in the summer, going on from the bench in a home friendly against Burnley Under-23s on July 27th.
He was then due to start, along with several other trialists including ex-Yeovil Town winger Jake Gray and Port Vale's Ben Whitfield, at Bromsgrove Sporting three days later, but the match was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Smith's signing will take the number of players in the squad to 24 professionals, which includes four loanees.
