Premier David Burt hosted members of the Bermuda National team and Executive members of the Bermuda Football Association at the Cabinet Grounds.
Bermuda recently concluded playing in the CONCACAF Gold Cup falling in their first two games and then won the final match against Nicaragua.
The Premier acknowledged the accomplishments of the team saying, “I remember when they qualified, I spoke to the president of the Bermuda Football Association and said, I do not want you all to have to scrape, beg, borrow and steal to make sure you are ready for this competition.”
Burt went on to say, “It is with pride that we are here to congratulate our Men’s Football team for their historic performance.”
