The 2023 Elite Caribbean Cycling Championships got underway in Guadeloupe, with Bermuda claiming 6 Medals on Day One.
Competing in the Time Trial Event, Gabriella Arnold won the Women’s Time Trial Gold, while Conor White captured the Men’s Time Trial Gold Medal, Kaden Hopkins won the Silver Medal, with Nicholas Narraway winning the Bronze Medal.
Narraway would claim the Boy’s Under 23 Time Trial Gold Medal, while Liana Madeiros claimed the Under 23 Girls Silver Medal.
Arnold crossed the line with a time of 32:56.64, while Madeiros finished 8th overall clocking 35:2.51.
White was clocked across the line in a time of 27:36.30, Hopkins clocked 27:41.39, and Narraway clocked 27:54.90.
White told www.islandstats/com, “It was a great day out, very happy to take the win, and even happier to be sharing the podium with Hopkins, and Narraway.
It was a really hot Time Trial, but it was a good course for me, it was quite flat with a few rollers really played into a rider my size.”
