The 2022/23 Fat Tire Massive Mountain Bike Season got underway on the Grounds of Government House.
Conor White won the Open Male 60-minute race, White would take the lead after the first lap from Dominique Mahyo and he would power his way to victory clocking a time of 1:00:31.191 completing 19 laps, Kavin Smith finished second one lap down with a time of 1:02:12.893, and Alan Potts was third having completed 17 laps clocking 1:00:33.418.
Caitlin Conyers won the Open Female 60-Minute Race, she completed 14 laps in a time of 1:03:03.231, Jennifer Wilson was a lap down in second place with a time of 1:02:40.460, and Jennifer Lightbourne completed 12 laps finishing third with a time of 1:04:14.989.
The Male Open 30 Minute race was won by Dominic Smith who completed 8 laps in a time of 33:41.581, Peter Dunne was second in 30:47.911 having completed 7 laps, and Daniel Ringer was third with a time of 31:07.329.
The Female Open 30 Minutes Race was won by Zina Jones who clocked a 6-lap time of 30:36.965, Rebecca May was second with a time of 31:35.629, and Florence Pedro completed 5 laps finishing in 3rd with a time of 36:29.506.
