Kaden Hopkins had good rides on stages one and two, in fact, was in a break on stage two, which unfortunately did not stick.
Hopkins was fulfilling his role of working for the Team leader as stage two was a pretty brutal climbing day, Hopkins did all he could for his teammate until the final climb and then just rode into the finish, as did half the field.
Hopkins was happy with his riding and is focusing on the Vuelta Alicante Stage Race in the next couple of weeks.
“Racing on a team is very involved with riders all having a role. That often means a rider sacrificing his own goals for others, something I embrace 100%.”
