Caitlin Conyers took to social media to reflect on her Cycling Journey.
Conyers wrote, “The last week has really made me reflect on this whole journey! I had certainly never planned to be “an athlete” and there was A LOT to work on when I first showed up to a bike race - from aero gains to sock selection - but look where I am now!
Might just be some good genes (thanks mom and dad!) but I’ve also had so much help along the way (sadly it didn’t make the Zwift Academy cut, but I couldn’t have gotten to where I am without Dominique Mayho and I hope I always have his voice in my head shouting at me to hold the wheel and pay attention), and there is really no better cycling community in the world than the one in Bermuda!
From Fattire Massive (special shout-out to full hot racing!) to the Bermuda Bicycle Association and the Bermuda Cycling Academy and all of the teams and group rides, the love of the sport is the foundation. Thank you to everyone that has believed in me over the last few years. I know I’m old (thank you, YouTube commenters) but I still got at least a few years to go!!!”
