The Bermuda Bicycle Association (BBA) is pleased to officially advise that the annual Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race will take place this Friday, May 28th, as a part of the Bermuda Day holiday.
The BBA has received an exemption from the Ministry of National Security to hold this event in our usual format which will be a separate start for men and women in St. George and then a youth race that covers the last two miles of the course into and through Hamilton.
Racing action will kick off at 8:15 am from the old town for the men and then the women start approximately three minutes later. The youth event will also start at 8:15 am and makes its way along Middle Road to Reid Street, then on Court Street and Front Street to Queen Street. At Church Street, the race turns right, and then the final left turn onto Cedar Avenue for the finish between Dundonald and Elliott Streets.
The last edition of the race was in 2019 when Kaden Hopkins and Caitlin Conyers won their respective divisions. As neither will be on the island this Friday the door is open to a new winner.
