Strava is hosting their annual Festive 500, the goal is to ride 500 kilometers between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Whether you try to crush it in just a handful of rides or spread it out evenly across the 8 days, the choice is yours.
If anyone is looking to join in a group then Adam Harbutt is leading a group starting at 5:00am on December 24th from the roundabout at the foot of The Lane.
Harbutt stated, “I am aiming for my eighth Festive 500, and hoping the turnout stays large. As in past years I'll be knocking out 100Ks before work on Christmas Eve, 5:00am at the foot of The Lane heading west along Harbour to Dockyard, back Harbour, to Admiralty then St. Georges - St. David’s - Paynter’s road. Finishing at Rock Island coffee - please let me know if you plan on finishing at the coffee shop so I can make sure they have enough food.”
