The 2018/2019 Bermuda Bicycle Association’s Fat Tire Massive Mountain Bike Race Season sponsorship of Arch Re, BF&M, One Communications, RMS Boatworks and Spar Yard Marine Solutions continued with action taking place at the Lagoon Park.
A total of 71 male and female racers took on the skills challenge offered by the "Lagoon" course. Jumps, dropoffs, rocky Rooty climbs, huge berms and lots of cornering were laid out in a 1.4 mile track that rewarded racers hugely for mastering the obstacles.
Adam Kirk won the Male Open race clocking a 10 lap time of 1:04:31.779, Han Hirschi was second in 1:00:28.751, but he only completed 9 laps and Alan Potts finished third with a 9 lap time of 1:01:11.709.
The Female Open Division was won by Ashley Robinson who had a time of 1:05:41.180.
Manning Smith rode to victory in the Male Novice Division with a time of 29:01.790 after 4 laps, Clive Langley was second in 30:54.611 and Mathew Ringer finished third with a time of 31:17.425.
