In a season with more twists and turns than a roller coaster, Madelyn Moore and her Northern Colorado Swim and Dive teammates were back in the pool against its rivals to the north, Wyoming.
Moore and her teammates hung tough throughout the afternoon, Wyoming eventually pulled away in the final handful of swims, taking the meet, 144-118.
Northern Colorado kicked off the afternoon with a win in the 200-yard Medley Relay. Junior Moore led the charge followed by Emina Pasukan and Katelyn Bergin, freshman Saana Liikonen anchored the winning effort of 1:46.03.
Northern Colorado retook the lead from Wyoming midway through the meet thanks to a pair of sprints from both Moore and Liikonen.
Moore and Liikonen finished 1-2 in both the 50-yard Freestyle and 100-yard Freestyle.
In the 50-yard Freestyle, Moore touched the wall in a time of 23.75, she was clocked at 52.81 on her way to winning the 100-yard Freestyle.
Moore would lead off the Northern Colorado Girls 400 Yard Freestyle Relay A team that finished 2nd in a time of 3:38.94.
