Harbour Swim Club Long Course Meet

IslandStats.com
The Harbour Swim Club held the first Long Course meet of the 2020 season at the National Sports Center. The swimmers posted some great times despite being in the midst of tough training as they prepare for Winter Age Groups, which are scheduled for the end of the month.

Tallulah Parkinson, Somers Stevenson, and Connor Hupman all achieved qualification times for the Harbour Silver Squad (formerly known as the Junior Gold Squad).

Ava Pedro achieved her first CARIFTA Qualifying Standard in the 100 Freestyle in a time of 1:08.13, while Brandon Adkins achieved his second CARIFTA Qualifying Standard in the 100 Freestyle in a time of 58.50. Unfortunately, the times were not sanctioned by BASA but these times will instill the confidence needed when a sanctioned opportunity is provided for them.

“There were a number of notable swims tonight. I’m really proud of the swimmer's achievements,” said Harbour Head Coach, Shona Palmer. “The swimmers are working through a tough training cycle at the moment as we prepare them to be at their best for the Winter Championship Meet so the results we saw are most encouraging.”
