Prior to the global pandemic taking over the world, Vanessa Esposito Qualified for Canadian Olympic Trials representing University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
Junior Esposito qualified for the Canadian Olympic trials by posting a time of 17:39.06 in the 1650 Freestyle.
Due to the 2020 Spring season being cut short, the UMBC team awards did not feature the team’s Most Valuable and Most Improved Athletes and Unsung Heroes, but those that best exemplify UMBC Athletics’ core values of GRIT.
Esposito was announced as the UMBC Women’s Swimming and Diving Spirit Award winner.
