Jade Hannah competed in the 2019 Canadian Swimming Trials at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre and met the FINA Qualification mark for the three events at the World Championships.
Hannah’s accomplishment would see her announced as a member of 19 swimmers (10 males, 9 females) who will represent Canada at the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, which take place August 20th – 25th in Budapest, Hungary.
Hannah finished the Women’s 50 LC Meter Backstroke A - Final in second place with a time of 28.20 a qualifying time for the Worlds.
During the Women’s 100 LC Meter Backstroke A – Final, Hannah clocked the third fastest time touching the wall in 59.89, meeting another World Championship Qualifying Time.
Hannah’s third Worlds time came during the Women’s 200 LC Meter Backstroke A – Final, where she finished 4th clocking a time of 2:10.70.
