Daley Lowers Four BASA Records During Championships

Elan Daley competed in the Age Group International Short Course Championships, Daley competed in the Women’s 13 - 14 years Age Group.

Daley would also lower four Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association record times during the Meet.

Daley picked up her first Gold Medal in the 50m Freestyle Final when she touched the wall in a time of 26.24, Daley would also win the 100m Freestyle Final when she was clocked at 56.30, Daley’s time would break the previous record time of 57.49 set by Madelyn Moore back on March 21st, 2015. Daley’s third Gold Medal came during the 50m Butterfly when she touched the wall in a time of 28.56.

Daley won a Silver Medal competing in the 200m Freestyle Final clocking the second fastest time of 2:05.21, Daley would break Logan Watson-Brown’s time of 2:07.07 she set back on March 18th 2018. Daley would also capture a Silver Medal competing in the 100m Backstroke Final clocking a time of 1:04.81, breaking Emma Harvey’s time of 1:05.11 set back on February 6th 2016.

The Bronze Medal came during the 100m Breaststroke Final when Daley clocked the third fastest time of 1:17.16 and the Final Medal was a Bronze during the 100m Butterfly when she was clocked at 1:05.52.

The only event that Daley did not Medal in was the 200m Individual Medley when she finished fourth with a time of 2:25.65, her time would lower the previous record time of 2:27.01 set by Emma Harvey back on December 5th 2015.
