The continued partnership between Mastercard, the global technology company in the payment industry, and Butterfield during the 2023 Butterfield Bermuda Championship played a key role in helping to boost charitable donations by $150,000.
During the 2023 tournament, Mastercard pledged to match the amount of each purchase made by Butterfield Mastercard debit and credit cardholders at the official Championship merchandise tent dollar for dollar as a donation to Birdies for Charity.
Additionally, attendees had an opportunity to donate $10 or more to access a new Butterfield Mastercard Rest Area, with an incentive to donate $35 or more by receiving a free Tile Tracker device and entry into a gift certificate draw. Mastercard made an additional contribution to reach the total amount as part of their wider commitment to “doing well by doing good”.

The 2023 Butterfield Bermuda Championship, an official PGA TOUR event, took place from November 6-12, 2023, at Port Royal Golf Club.
