A team of 20 golfers from the historic Clearview Golf Course in Ohio, led by former LPGA and current PGA teaching pro at Clearview Golf Course in Ohio Dr. Renee Powell, took on members from Bermuda’s Ocean View Golf Course.
The Two Day Tournament got underway in bright sunshine giving the golfers perfect conditions to play their rounds.
The Ocean View Golf Course will take a huge lead into Day Two after winning each Pairs event.
Ann Symonds and Louise Payne defeated Barbara Wickman and Mindy Cooper 8 ˝ - ˝, while Wendy Silva and Veronica Hines defeated Joyce Blough and Roz Harris.
Glen Baisden and Frank Morgan defeated Tim Harris and Richard Blough 7 ˝ - 1 ˝, with Bill Pitt and Fred Stovell defeating John Ramos and Jeff McDaniel by the same score.
Kavon Trott and David Patterson defeated Fred Ruben and Jessie Brooks 8 - 1 and Larry Brangman and Kenny Ford defeated Ron Fuller and Donnie Dunbar 7 - 2.
