The second round of the Bermuda Stroke Play Championships provided some interesting results at the Port Royal Golf Course.
In the Men’s Championship flight, Jarryd Dillas and Fraser Hunt are leading the field on 147 with Josh Hopwood just one shot behind. After a two shot lead in round 1, Hunt slipped a little in round 2 with a 5-over-par 76 while Josh Hopwood came in with a one-over par 72.
In the Ladies Championship flight, the overnight leader Ebonie Cox got off to a poor start but found her form once again on the back nine where she had a 2-under par 33 to finish the round with 79. Her lead is now 9 shots over Elizabeth Parsons but anything can happen in the last round.
In the Senior Men’s Championship flight, Terry Mullan and Chris Phillips are battling it out. Tied overnight on 80. Terry Mullan managed to shoot 76 today, one better than Chris Phillips and now leads the flight by one stroke.
It promises to a be a very exciting finish with light winds forecast, there is the potential to score low, which could easily let one of the chasers into the mix.
